The project details.

Clear expectations from first message to final cleanup.

This page explains our general process. Your approved written project agreement sets the specific scope, price, deposit, payment dates and cancellation terms for your job. Sending an inquiry does not book work or create a project agreement.

Estimates & consultations

Photos, measurements and a description help us assess your project. A photo-based estimate may need an on-site assessment before pricing is confirmed. An on-site consultation is $75, applied to your project total if you hire us. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless the written quote states otherwise.

Deposits & scheduling

For projects with supplied materials, the material deposit is due at scheduling. Labor-only jobs over $1,000 generally require a $500 scheduling deposit. The exact amount and schedule will be stated in your quote. Scheduling is confirmed after approval and receipt of the required deposit, subject to weather and material availability.

Payments

Service charges are payable by the day or project phase as specified in the written agreement. We accept cash, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, ACH and cards. Checks are not accepted. Payment instructions and any permitted fees will be disclosed before approval. Please use the payment method and recipient confirmed directly by Bush Lackey.

Weather & project timing

Rain, saturated soil, unsafe conditions and supplier availability can affect timing. We will discuss scheduling changes when needed. An estimated completion date is not a guarantee that weather or site conditions will allow work on that date.

Cancellations & rescheduling

Contact us as soon as plans change. Cancellation notice, treatment of deposits, materials already ordered, work already completed and any rescheduling charges must be stated in your written agreement. This website does not impose a blanket nonrefundable deposit or automatic cancellation charge.

Scope changes & unexpected conditions

Your written scope identifies the included work. Additional work, changed materials or unexpected conditions should be discussed and approved, including any price or timing change, before proceeding. An inspiration photo or digital design does not add unlisted items to your scope.

Access, pets & underground systems

Tell us about gates, slopes, parking or trailer access, pets, irrigation, private electrical lines, septic systems, invisible fencing and other underground installations. Arrange access and secure pets for scheduled work. Necessary utility marking and private-system information must be addressed before digging; a website notice does not replace required safe-work procedures.

Plants, watering & natural materials

Plants and stone vary naturally in appearance, size, color and texture. New plants may look less mature than a design rendering. Ask for watering and aftercare instructions at handoff. Plant survival depends on watering, weather, soil and other conditions; any plant warranty, replacement coverage or exclusions must be stated in your written project agreement.

Cleanup & debris

Your scope should state whether debris collection, disposal, material delivery, haul-off and final cleanup are included. Existing debris and unrelated items are not automatically part of a project.

Photos & design concepts

We use progress photos to document work. Public use of identifiable customer information or property details should be addressed separately with the customer. Design concepts illustrate an intended direction; final plants, materials and layouts depend on the approved scope and site conditions.
